The original walls and windows of the school were old and poorly insulated. The school was investing allot of energy on heating and cooling which literally went right out the window and walls. The exterior brick was removed and new window openings were created. New high efficient aluminum windows were installed in the new openings. The walls were sprayed with an air barrier and insulating foam and then new bricks were installed over to form the new wall system. The roof skylight in the central library was also removed and replaced with a new system.
